The experience

Zebedee, in full

Inside El Questro Wilderness Park off the legendary Gibb River Road, Zebedee Springs is a tiered series of thermal pools and small waterfalls, brought to the surface along ancient fault lines and set in a prehistoric forest of Livistona and pandanus palms. The water holds a warm 28–32°C — comfortable rather than scalding — in one of the most photogenic settings in the country.

There are no built facilities at the springs; you reach them on a short 1.5 km return walk from the car park. The trade-off for the beauty is a tight window: it is a dry-season destination, open to general visitors only in the mornings, with afternoons reserved for El Questro Homestead guests.

Signature: Palm-fringed thermal pools and cascades in the wild.
